Why K-4 and K-5?

 
Grace Christian School is one of the few schools to offer a kindergarten for four year olds. But we see a need for students who may not have attended a preschool and then find they are not ready for entering kindergarten.

Our K-4 is not preschool. The child is given the same academic work as the other kindergarteners. If the four year old student can successfully complete the kindergarten program, he will move on to first grade. However, if the child needs more time to grasp all the objectives of our kindergarten, then he simply takes it once more before moving on to First grade.

Because our children graduate from our kindergarten reading, we feel it is important to give them this early opportunity to be well prepared before entering elementary school. Our K-4 program has been very successful and has helped to give many children the basic foundation needed for kindergarten.
